Degree Setup

The following are the procedures for setting up the drop-down lists values associated with education degrees for an individual.

These setup values are independent of each other and there is no hierarchy of degree type or area within specialty or institution, for example.

Degree Area

Degree Area
An individual's area of study.

Example: event planning, accounting, computer science, engineering, broadcasting, tourism.

To Set Up a Degree Area:

  1. Go to the Customer Setup page.
  2. Click the Degree tab.
  3. On the degree area child form, click add.
  4. In the Add Degree Area window, enter the degree area.
  5. Click Save.

Institution

Institution
The actual college, university or school of the customer.

To Set Up a Degree Institution:

  1. Go to the Customer Setup page.
  2. Click the Degrees tab.
  3. On the institution child form, click Add.
  4. In the Add - Institution window, enter the institution.
  5. Click Save.

Degree Specialty

Degree Specialty
The area or specialty of a customer's degree.

Example: computer science, accounting, management, communication.

To Set Up a Degree Specialty:

  1. Go to the Customer Setup page.
  2. Click the Degrees tab.
  3. On the degree specialty child form, click Add.
  4. In the Add - Degree Specialty window, enter the degree specialty.
  5. Click Save.

Degree Type

Degree Type
The name or acronym of the degree received.

To Set Up a Degree Type:

  1. Go to the Customer Setup page.
  2. Click the Degrees tab.
  3. On the degree type child form, click Add.
  4. In the Add - Degree Type window, enter the degree type.
  5. Click Save.
